General Information
There are two types of entry permits required between June 15 and October 15 for entering the Three Sisters Wilderness from this trailhead.
- Overnight Use
- Central Cascade Wilderness Permit (CCWP) between June 15 and October 15.
- Day Use
- Free, self-issue Wilderness Permit (available at the trailhead) between June 15 and October 15.

Directions
From McKenzie Bridge, OR, drive east on Highway 126 for 3 miles to Forest Road 2643 (Foley Ridge Road). Follow Forest Road 2643 uphill for 10 miles to Forest Road 480. Turn right (west) on Forest Road 480 and follow it to a loop where it ends at Separation Lake Trailhead.
