FOREST ORDER
CEDAR CREEK FIRE EMERGENCY AREA CLOSURE

Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(a) and (b), and to provide for public safety, the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System (NFS) lands, roads, and trails within the administrative boundaries of the Willamette National Forest. This Order supersedes Forest Order #06-18-10-25-05 which was signed on March 14, 2025, and is effective from March 22, 2026, through December 31, 2026, unless rescinded sooner.

PROHIBITIONS:

1. Being on the road. 36 CFR § 261.54(e)
2. Being on a trail. 36 CFR § 261.55(a)
3. Entering in to or being upon National Forest System Lands closed for the protection of public health or safety. 36 CFR § 261.53(e)

CLOSURE DESCRIPTION:

The closure area is located within the State of Oregon, Lane County, and within the Administrative Boundaries of the Willamette National Forest. The closure applies to the NFS roads and trails described below including 100 feet on both sides of roads and trailheads described below. The closure area is depicted on the attached map, which is incorporated into this order as "Exhibit A".

NFS Roads Description

FS Road 24 from the junction with (but not inclusive of) the 2409 then proceeding east to the road’s terminus and inclusive of all spurs and sub roads. (Including FS Roads 2419, 2417, 2424, 2424, 2422, 2420, 2418.)

FS Road 1931 from the junction with (but not inclusive of) the 1928 then proceeding east to the road’s terminus and inclusive of all spurs.

FS Road 1934 from the junction with (but not inclusive of) the FS 19 road then proceeding south to the 24 road and inclusive of all spurs and sub roads. (Including FS Roads 1935, 1936.)

FS Road 1944 from the junction with (but not inclusive of) the FS 19 road then proceeding south to the road’s terminus inclusive of all spurs.

FS Road 5898 from the junction with (but not inclusive of) the 5897 proceeding north and inclusive of all spurs. (including the FS 514 road to the north to the junction of the FS 517 road)

NFS Trail Systems

• Trail system 3553 from the Blair Lake Trailhead to the junction of 2419 in Township 20S, Range 5E, S24

NFS Trailheads

EXEMPTIONS:

Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following are exempt from this Order:

1. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use  of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order) specifically exempting them for this Order.
   1. Any Federal, State, or Local Officer, or member of organized rescue of firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

Violations of these prohibitions are punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for a corporation or imprisonment for not more than six months or both. 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 18 U.S.C. §§ 3551, 3571, and 3581.
