Union Creek Campground

The Union Creek Campground is one of the largest Forest Service campgrounds in eastern Oregon. Set on the northern shore of Phillips Lake amid mature ponderosa pine forest, it offers more than 60 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Special activities for local and regional visitors include fishing, hiking, swimming, waterskiing, and boating. Within the Union Creek Recreation site there is also the Union Creek Boat Launch and Union Creek Picnic and Day-use Area.

General rules of use and restrictions apply for this developed recreation site. The Recreation Site Concessionaire also has rules of use posted for the site. The gate into the recreation area is locked when not in operation by the concessionaire. State boating rules:  The Oregon State Marine Board has administrative rules for boaters on Phillips Reservoir.(ORS 250-020-0013 ) No person shall operate a motorboat in excess of a "Slow -- No Wake" speed in the following areas: Phillips Lake: (A) Within 200 feet of a boat launching ramp or designated swimming area; (B) That area known as the Union Creek Inlet, beginning at a point approximately 500 feet south of the Union Creek Boat Launching Ramp and proceeding easterly across the inlet to a point on the opposite shore as marked

Single Sites: $16 per night
Single Site with electric and water hook-ups: $34 per night (Loop B & C)
Single Site with electric, water and sewer hook-ups: $44 per night (Loop A)
Group site: $100 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $6 per vehicle per day
Over flow $10
Rav Dump station: $10 per use
Day Use:

    Discounts are subject to the terms of the passes, and policies of the Concession operator. For visitors with an Interagency Senior Passes, Interagency Access Passes, Golden Age Passport or Golden Access Passport the discount is 50%

Directions

From Baker City, Oregon travel south on Highway 7 towards John Day, Oregon for about 18 miles; The campground and day-use entrance is signed on the left side of the road; Follow the signs in the Union Creek Recreation Area down to the various campground loops and areas.
