The Starvation Sale is located within T.2N. R.44E. Section 25, T.2N. R45E. Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 20,29 and 30, T.3N. R45E. Sections 4, 9, 16, 21, 26, 27 and 31, Surveyed Willamette Meridan, Wallowa County, Oregon. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids at Wallowa-Whitman National Forest Headquarters, David J. Wheeler Building, 1550 Dewey Avenue, Baker City, OR 97814 before or at the time of public bid opening at 10:00 AM local time on 09/04/2025 for an estimated volume of 14037 ton of Douglas-fir and Other Coniferous Species sawtimber, and 4743 ton of Ponderosa Pine sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is within the sale area an unestimated volume of Softwood Other sawtimber, and Softwood Other grn bio cv that the bidder may agree to remove at a fixed rate.
