Located in Glide, Oregon, the North Umpqua Ranger Station is the oldest standing ranger station in the Umpqua National Forest. Adjacent to the North Umpqua Ranger Station is the Colliding Rivers Viewpoint and Visitor Center (which typically operates in the summer months). The North Zone of the forest includes the North Umpqua, Diamond Lake, and Cottage Grove Ranger Districts. David Andersen is the North Zone District Ranger and Mark Sommer is the North Zone Deputy District Ranger.
