Umpqua National Forest Headquarters Permit, Passes, and Maps Sales
ROSEBURG, Ore., September 8, 2025— The Umpqua National Forest Headquarters at the Roseburg Interagency Office is open to the public five days a week, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except federal holidays). Beginning Monday, September 15, 2025, sales of passes, permits and maps will be offered Mondays and Fridays, or by appointment only to serve the public needs more effectively.
This applies to purchases of:
- America the Beautiful Interagency Passes
- Special Forest Products permits
- Umpqua National Forest maps
Special Forest Products Permits
With the exception of Christmas tree permits purchased through Recreation.gov (October 9, 2025) and Free Use permits for firewood, mushrooms, or cones, done via email; All commercial permits and individual permits for beargrass, evergreen boughs, greenery and transplants, posts and poles, and prince’s pine (salal) need to be obtained in person Mondays or Fridays. Follow the instructions for your desired permit via the permit page on the Forest website.

America the Beautiful Interagency Passes can be purchased online at the USGS Store or through local vendors
Maps
Umpqua National Forest maps including the winter recreation map, wilderness map and maps by ranger district can be purchased online at the USGS Store. All Umpqua National Forest maps including winter recreation maps, wilderness maps, maps by ranger district, Land of Umpqua map and Motor Vehicle Use Maps can be found on the Avenza Maps app.
To download maps to your mobile device for use offline you must first install the Avenza Maps app. Once the app is installed, click the store icon, in the shape of a shopping cart, at the bottom of the screen. Under “Find a map”, in the search bar type in UmpquaNF. Find the map you would like and click the green button that indicates the price. Prices range from free to $9.99. Finally, go to My Maps and click the map you need, it is ready for offline use.
