Elkhorn Campground

Located on the edge of Forest Service land in the Maury Mountains and nestled under large ponderosa pine trees, this campground is relatively easy to reach yet still has a secluded feel.  It is conveniently located near the Maury Mountain agate beds which host red, green, and gold moss agates.

Open 24 hours/day

There is a 14 day stay limit on all National Grassland and US Forest Service land including but not limited to campgrounds and other developed facilities. 

This is a free facility.

Directions

From Prineville:

Travel southeast on Highway 380 for about 32 miles.

Turn south onto Forest Service Road 16 and continue for about 5 miles.

Elkhorn Campground will be on your left, just past the National Forest Boundary.
