Volunteers invited to Upper Clackamas River Cleanup
Clackamas River Basin Council hosts event for second year in a row
Mt. Hood National Forest and Clackamas River Basin Council (CRBC) will host the Upper Clackamas River Cleanup on Sept. 27. This volunteer event is in honor of National Public Lands Day, the nation's largest single-day volunteer event for public lands.
Trash on the river not only threatens the area’s scenic beauty but also impairs drinking water quality. Join us to make a difference on your public lands!
- Date/time: Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lunch will follow at noon.
- Meeting location: Ripplebrook Store, 59204 OR-224, Estacada, OR 97023.
- Event activities: The clean-up takes place on land alongside the river. Volunteers will organize into several groups and clean assigned dispersed campsites along the Wild & Scenic Clackamas River.
- What to bring: Sun protection, layers for different weather, sturdy footwear, water, and a good attitude! Gloves, trash grabbers, trash bags, and food will be provided.
