Sherrard Point Trail (#443)
This paved trail starts at the Larch Mountain Picnic Area and leads to the scenic, ancient volcanic summit of Larch Mountain. There are 100 steps in the trail leading up to a mountain-identifier viewpoint. See Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson on a clear day.
Access Road: Larch Mountain Road is maintained by Multnomah County and is closed annually at milepost 10 from Nov. through late May or early June. Use caution when driving; the road is narrow in places with limited visibility and is very popular with road cyclists.

A valid Recreation Pass is required at Larch Mountain Trailhead and Picnic Area.
- Motor vehicles and bikes are prohibited.
- Fires not allowed within 200 feet of trail.

From Portland, OR: Travel east on Interstate 84 just past Troutdale then take exit 18, Lewis and Clark State Park. At the end of the off-ramp, turn left (south) onto the Historic Columbia River Highway and follow the highway through Corbett. Two miles east of Corbett, the road forks. Take a right onto Larch Mountain Road and follow the road 14 miles to the picnic area and trailhead.
From Cascade Locks, OR: Travel west on Interstate 84 approximately 21 miles and take exit 22, Corbett Exit/NE Corbett Hill Road. Follow NE Corbett Hill Road until it intersects with East Historic Columbia River Highway. Turn left onto the Historic Highway and travel 5 miles until the road forks. Take a right onto Larch Mountain road and follow the road 14 miles to the picnic area and trailhead.
