General Information

April - December

Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 12:00 p.m.; Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

If you wish to use a stove, grill, or have a campfire it is recommended, but not required, that you get a campfire permit.  This FREE Permit can be obtained at preventwildfiresca.org or at any ranger station. Do not burn plastic or metal. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it.
Interagency Senior and Interagency Access Passes Honored: The Interagency Senior and Access Passes Provide a 50 percent discount on camping fees at Fraser Flat Campground.  Pass number must be written on fee envelope. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping.  

Max length for RV/Trailers - 35ft.  Road is NOT ADVISABLE for large RVs and trailers. The winding road is steep, narrow and is not paved past Fraser Flat Campground. Camp in designated sites only. The number of people permitted in a single campsite is six. The maximum length of stay in any campground is 14 days.   

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $25 per night
Double Site: $50 per night

The Forest Service operates Sand Bar Flat Campground and charges the following fees: New campsite fee prices, 2024 & 2025 $20 per night for single site, $40 per night for double site; In 2026  fee raises to $25 per night for single site and $50 per night for double site. The America the Beautiful, Interagency Senior and Access Passes are honored and receive 50% off the nightly rate. Only applicable to the single site the pass holder occupies.  Pass number must be written on fee envelope. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping.
