Bloomfield Campground

Campground is located in a timbered setting along the banks of the North Fork Mokelumne River, 2.4 miles west of Ebbetts Pass and four miles north of Highland Lakes. 20 campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills.

As of June 6, 2024 hand pump water is NOT available

General Information

No garbage service or dumpster; Pack it in, Pack it out.

Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 12:00 p.m.; Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes and Golden Age and Golden Access passes accepted, reduces camping fee to half-price per night.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $25 per night

The Forest Service operates the Bloomfield Campground and charges the following fees: New campsite fee prices, 2024 & 2025 $20 per night and fee raises to $25 per night in 2026.   The America the Beautiful, Interagency Senior and Access Passes are honored and receive 50% off the nightly rate. Only applicable to the single site the pass holder occupies.  Pass number must be written on fee envelope. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping.

Directions

Take Highway 4 to Highland Lakes Road; follow Highland Lakes Road one mile south to the campground. The turnoff from Highway 4 onto Highland Lakes Road is 47 miles from the Calaveras Ranger Station in Hathaway Pines, California.
