OHV Open House

The Stanislaus National Forest will host an Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) open house Thursday Feb. 5th, 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm at the Stanislaus National Forest Supervisor’s Office.

Forest recreation specialists have three grant drafts for consideration by the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division: Ground Operations, Law Enforcement and Restoration.

The grant proposals include forest-wide operations and maintenance projects for OHV trails and facilities, a forest-wide law enforcement patrol project, and restoring the landscape to its natural state.

The open house is an opportunity for the public to engage with the recreation staff. Booths will be set up with representatives from each district to share suggestions, answer questions, and make public comments prior to submitting the upcoming grant applications.

Community members are welcome to drop in at any time between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The open house will be held at the Stanislaus National Forest Supervisor’s Office at 19777 Greenley Rd. Sonora, Calif.
