Chaparral Neighborhood Trail 6W03

This trail can be easily walked in 15 minutes; you may want to take longer however to enjoy its features and setting.

The trail weaves through a pine plantation planted in the 1960's, native chaparral of the canyon floor, and near the Starke Forest planted in 1935. Interpretive brochure is available at the Lytle Creek Ranger Station or by clicking on this link.

Trailhead/Starting Points

This trail begins at the Penny Pines plantation at the eastern edge of the Lytle Creek Ranger Station parking lot.

Directions

Located on Lytle Creek Road north of Interstate 15, use Sierra Exit. Once on Lytle Creek Road, travel about 4.5 miles, then the Station will be on your right-hand side
