Deer Valley Campground
Small campground, 7 campsites equipped with picnic tables and fire rings.
Dry camp, bring water. No trash services provided; please pack out garbage.
General Information
This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site.
Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 11:00 a.m.; Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $6 per night
Another Way to Pay:
Once on-site, you are able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning the QR code on the campground kiosk using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.
To use Scan & Pay on site, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.

Directions
Located 12 miles north of Upper Lake on County Road 301 (Forest Road M-1), and 4 miles east on Forest Road 16N01. Please note Elk Mountain Road is closed due to hillslope failure after winter storms. Access this campground via Potter Valley (Mendocino County Rd 240 / Lake County Rd 301) or via Sam Alley (Forest Roads 16N01 and 16N30). Roads are very narrow, driveable only with high-clearance 4WD, no trailers.
