This trailhead accesses the southern boundary of the Caribou Wilderness. Ample parking available for vehicles and trailers; popular equestrian staging location.

Day use hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM; overnight parking allowed for wilderness use.
- Campfires in fire rings or portable cookstoves only, California Campfire Permit required
- No camping within 100' of water bodies
- Pack out trash
- 14-day maximum stay
- Vehicles and mechanized equipment prohibited in the Caribou Wilderness
