Hay Meadows Trailhead

This trailhead accesses the southern boundary of the Caribou Wilderness.  Ample parking available for vehicles and trailers; popular equestrian staging location.

General Information

Day use hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM; overnight parking allowed for wilderness use.

  • Campfires in fire rings or portable cookstoves only, California Campfire Permit required
  • No camping within 100' of water bodies
  • Pack out trash
  • 14-day maximum stay
  • Vehicles and mechanized equipment prohibited in the Caribou Wilderness
