Right Fork Salt Creek Trail #110
The trail begins across the road from the parking area. The upper 1/2 mile of the trail passes through large stands of aspen. The next portion of the trail follows the drainage down to the main canyon of Salt Creek, staying on the right side of the stream. Vegetation in this area consists of scrub oak and grasses on the west side of the canyon and conifer on the east side. Where the Right Fork of the Salt Creek meets the Left Fork, the trail crosses the main stream. The remainder of the trail is in the bottom of the canyon and follows an old jeep trail. This is a beautiful trail and is ideal for a short day hike.
