Page Fork Trail #088
Beginning at Access 1 the trail begins by crossing the stream to the east of the parking area. The first 2 1/2 miles of the trail follows the main canyon and stays in the bottom most of the way. There are large cottonwood trees in the lower portion of the canyon which are replaced by aspen and conifers farther up the canyon. This lower section of the trail is fairly level and easy to hike. There are three canyons in this section of the trail which join Page Fork on the east side. The trail forks to the left at the third canyon and follows it rather than continuing up the canyon to the right. Most maps show the trail going up the right fork, which is no longer correct. A new trail has recently been constructed up the left fork and stays in the bottom of the drainage for approximately 1 mile, passing through mixed aspen, conifers and some large meadows. Eventually the trail enters thick stands of conifers and winds its way through, until it turns abruptly to the left (east) and crosses a small stream. From this point the trail climbs steadily to a grove of aspens. The trail goes through the aspens and ends where it connects with Summit Trail #113.
