Biking
The Payette and the surrounding region provide a myriad of cycling opportunities. Forest and county roads provide hundreds of miles of both paved and gravel routes to explore, while mountain biking continues to increase in popularity.
E-Biking
All motorized vehicles including e-bikes are restricted from non-motorized trails. Users should consult the Payette Motor Vehicle Use Map for roads and trails open to specific motorized use throughout the Forest.
Mountain Biking
Mountain biking opportunities throughout the Payette National Forest provide adventurous riders with endless exploration and the McCall area continues to situate itself as a regional mountain biking hub. Renowned local rides include the Bear Basin network, Loon Lake Loop, Twenty Mile Trail #085, and the Goose Creek Trail #353. The area has appropriate options for all ability levels and numerous outfitters providing rentals, service, parts, and local expertise.
Trail maintenance of Forest Service trails varies from year to year and many routes are subject to significant deadfall.
