Lost Valley Area, New Meadows Ranger District

The Lost Valley area is on the New Meadows Ranger District.  Just south of New Meadows, the Lost Valley Reservoir is a popular spot for boating, camping and OHV riding. Price Valley is in this area as well and is a well known landmark.

Lost Valley Reservoir road (Forest Road #089) provides access to Lost Valley Reservoir, Rapid River Wild & Scenic River, and numerous other streams. This area provides opportunities for fishing, boating, hiking, and camping. Lost Valley Reservoir Road can be reached from Highway 95 at Pine Ridge (10 miles southwest of New Meadows). This road will provide a scenic loop around Lost Valley Reservoir (15 miles round-trip, 1 hour). From Lost Valley Reservoir, you have several other options including: take Forest Road #128 to #102 and back to Price Valley on Forest Road #074 (21 miles round-trip, 1.5 hours); or take Forest Road #128 north to Yantis Ditch or Forest Road #074 along Boulder Creek and back to Round Valley (27 miles round-trip, 2 hours)
