PROHIBITIONS
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on Forest System Road #42026 As described in the order, in the Bridgeport Ranger District, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest until rescinded.
It is prohibited to use any Motor Vehicle on the section of Forest Service System Road Number 42026, also known as the Powell Canyon Road, shown on Exhibit A, Map as closed.

EXEMPTIONS
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), each of the following is exempt from this order.
- Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.
- Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
AREA DESCRIBED
National Forest System Road #42026, commonly known as the Powell Canyon Road. East side closure is located approximately 1 mile west of State Highway 359 and the West side closure is approximately 4/10’s of a mile east of Forest Service System Road Number 45855, located on the Bridgeport Ranger District, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this order public health and safety.
IMPLEMENTATION
- This Special Order implementing Seasonal Road Closure Restrictions is effective at 11:59 p.m. on September 13, 2011 and will remain in effect until rescinded.
- Exhibit A, Map and Exhibit B, Definitions are attached and incorporated into this ORDER.
Violation of these prohibitions is punishable as a class B misdemeanor, by a fine of not more than $5000.00 for an individual or $10,000.00 for an organization and/or imprisonment of not more than 6 months [Title 16 USC 551, 18 USC 3571(b) (6), Title 18 USC 3581 (b) (7)].
