Red Hills

Red Hills trail is a remote backcountry trail that lays entirely within the Mazatzal Wilderness. Parts are steep and some sections may be difficult to follow. This route offers outstanding opportunities for solitude and primitive recreation but should be considered very challenging as it climbs in and out of several drainages and requires good land navigation skills. The route connects #22 Dutchman Grave to #23 Mazatzal Divide Trail. The upper section of this trail is part of the 800 Mile Arizona National Scenic Trail.
