Clear Creek Trail

Located in the Hermosa Wilderness, Clear Creek Trail #550 drops 2,800 feet from Junction Creek Road to Hermosa Creek Trail with very little uphill in between. The trail has been overgrown from the understory of the forest, making traveling very difficult and making the trail disappear at times. There are several camp spots along the way, especially near the bottom of the trail. There are bears in this area, so caution should be used. There is no bridge crossing Hermosa Creek. Let people know your route; this trail is not for casual recreation

  • Distance (one-way): 7.2 miles
