Current Conditions
Campground will open for the 2026 season from May 11th to November 18th. Please contact the Saguache Ranger District at 719-655-2547 for current conditions and updates.

This small campground sits on a hillside above the South Fork of Carnero Creek, surrounded by spruce and aspen trees. It offers eight sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Two vault toilets are located within the campground. A large group picnic area is located nearby.

The setting is quiet and scenic, with cool shade, creekside views, and easy access to forest recreation. It’s a great spot for a relaxed stay in the woods, fish in area streams, mountain bike on forest roads, hike, or discover nearby OHV and four-wheel opportunities.
