Cross Creek Campground
There are 8 sites located on both side of Cross Creek just above the Beaver Reservoir inlet. The facilities include 8 sites with tables and fire rings, vault type toilet, ample parking for cars, but turn around and parking space for trailers is limited.
A concessionaire operates the campground from Memorial Day to Labor Day. During the summer season, trash and bathrooms are available in the campground. There are no amenities outside of the summer season. All trash must be packed out!
General Information
Trash service is provided by the concessionaire from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Outside of the summer season, there is no trash service. Please pack out all garbage.
Fishing in nearby Beaver Reservoir and Beaver Creek. Hiking or ATV riding up Cross Creek Trail. Cross Creek Campground is in the Beaver Creek drainage southwest of the town of South Fork.
Fishing sites include Beaver Creek and Beaver Reservoir (1/4 mile north). Beaver Creek Reservoir is 300 acres - no wake boating.
Just south of Cross Creek Campground on Road 360, you can access Trail 864 to see the biggest Douglas fir tree in the Rio Grande National Forest.
There is an RV waste station next to the Rainbow Grocery at intersection of US Hwy 160 and State Rt. 149 in South Fork, CO.
Open year-round, but may be inaccessible due to snow levels or spring road closures. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, there are higher fees and trash service. During the off-season, there is a reduced fee and trash must be packed out.
Check in time is after 2:00 pm. Check out time is before 11:00 am.

On Beaver Creek Reservoir, boats are allowed, no wakes, motors OK, concrete boat ramp.
Must have a Colorado fishing license to fish the reservoir or creeks.
ATV use on the Cross Creek Trail is limited to machines 50 inches wide or less with valid OHV Registration sticker from Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
This can be bear country. Remain "Bear Aware" and store food properly while camping.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to single campsites ONLY.

Fee envelopes and a collection box are provided near the entrance.
Dogs must be on leash not longer than six feet in length.

Directions
From South Fork, CO: At intersection of Hwy 149 and US 160, take US 160 west 1.4 miles to Beaver Creek Road sign (Forest Rd. 20). Turn left onto Beaver Creek Road and go 6.4 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground. NOTE: Forest Rd. 20 becomes gravel after 4 miles.
