Six Mile Trailhead

The Six Mile Trailhead is located at the Six Mile Gap Campground, approximately 2 miles off  Highway 230 and provides access to the North Platte River and Platte River Wilderness. A set of portage steps are near the trailhead for accessing the river. This is a good location for rafting, hiking and fishing.

Directions

From Encampment drive south on Hwy 230 approximately 22 miles to Forest Road 492.  Turn onto Forest Road 492 and continue for 2 miles to the campground and trailhead parking area.
