Routt Access Trailhead

Primarily a river access point at the upstream end of Northgate Canyon and Platte River Wilderness. Open sagebrush area with rock outcroppings and scattered limber pine. Heavy use during peak river-running season (late April - early July) then otherwise moderate to light use.

Directions

From Walden, go north on Highway 125 for 13 miles to and intersection with Hwy 125 and Hwy 127. Take the left turn on Hwy 125. Drive approximately 4 miles and take the right hand turn at the sign for the Routt Access Trailhead. Drive 1/4 mile to the trailhead and river access area.
