Lower Silver Creek Trailhead
This Trailhead serves as the lower access point for the Silver Creek Trail No. 1106. This 12.3 mile trail in the Sarvis Creek Wilderness ascends Silver Creek from the Morrison Creek valley up to its headwaters at Buffalo Park. The trail begins by quickly climbing up to a ridge at 8,680 feet. At 3.6 miles the trail crosses over the creek and continues upstream. There is no bridge at the Silver Creek crossing. High spring runoff can create dangerous conditions. The trail passes through areas burned in the Silver Creek Fire of 2018 before ending at the Upper Silver Creek Trailhead.
There is no camping allowed within 100ft of the water or trail.
The lower 500 feet of trail passes through on private land. Please respect the property owner and stay on trail.
This area was hit hard by the Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic. Falling trees can pose a great safety risk to campers and hikers.
Parking is limited at this location.
