Granite Campground

*NOTE: This campground will stay open until the snow makes it unreachable.

High clearance vehicles required to access this campground. Granite campground and picnic site are located on the shore of Fish Creek Reservoir in the Steamboat Springs Area and is managed by the Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District. There are 8 campsites available consisting of 4 walk-in tent sites and 4 drive up sites. A vault toilet and trash services are available.

Fishing and non-motorized boating is allowed on the reservoir. Hiking, biking and ATV trails are readily available.

No permit required

High clearance vehicles are required to access this site. Only non-motorized boats are allowed on the reservoir.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20 per night

$20 per site. Exact cash or check only as there is no option for change back if paying cash. 
NO CREDIT CARDS accepted. Payment instructions are found on the kiosk.

Directions

Directions from Steamboat Springs: Travel 2 miles northeast of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road 36 (Strawberry Park Road), then 13 miles northeast on Routt County Road 38 (Buffalo Pass Road) to Buffalo Pass. Go 4 miles south on FDR 310 to Fish Creek Reservoir and Granite Campground.
