Encampment Trailhead
Designated trailhead with access to trails into Mount Zirkel Wilderness. Facilities include outhouse and horse corral. Setting is managed forest area. Timberline is at approximately 10,500 feet elevation.

Directions
Directions from Walden, go north on Highway 125 for 9 miles to Cowdrey. Turn left at Cowdrey onto County Road 6W for 19 miles past Pearl. Turn left on County Road 6B. This road will soon turn into Forest Road 80. Follow Forest Road 80 for approximately 16 1/2 miles to the Forest Road 82 where you will turn left. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to the intersection of Forest Road 82 and 82.1A. Take Forest Road 82.1A another 1/4 mile to the Encampment Trailhead.
