Aspen Campground

Aspen Campground has 7 sites and is located near Gould, CO. It is approximately 22 miles southeast of Walden and is adjacent to the South Fork of the Michigan River and has an elevation of 9,200 ft. The campground has a vault toilet and each camp site offers a firegrate and picnic table. No electric hook-ups or showers available. Maximum trailer size is 20 feet and you can stay up to 14 nights during one visit. Open season is June to late October.

Aspen Campground is very primitive camping and is best suited for tent camping and small trailers up to 20 feet in length. The campground itself is a small loop in a large grove of aspen and the soil is rich with Columbine flowers. The amount of shade at each campsite varies and there is cellular service. While recreation nearby is very limited, there is hiking and fishing in the surrounding area, as well as the Moose Visitor Center for Colorado State Forest. The Center tells the story of the North Park moose, early timber camps and information on the park and its wildlife. A Vault toilet, and each camp site offers a fire grate and picnic table. No electric hook-ups or showers available.
