U.C. #642

The U.C. Trail #642 is used as a connecting route between the Long Canyon Trail #621 and the U.C. Cow Camp. The vegetation along the trail includes aspen mixed with spruce and fir with a few ponderosa pine. This trail follows along the north side of the U.C. Creek which contains a adequate fish population within the  lower section of the creek.

Directions

UPPER ACCESS:

From the Northern Forest Boundary, travel 18.2 miles south on the Divide Road, FSR #402, to the U.C. Cow Camp turn off.  Turn right (southwest) onto Cow Camp Road, FSR #402.2C and travel approximately 3.0 miles to the location where this road terminates on a ridge above U.C. Creek.  From this point the U.C. Upper Trailhead is located about ½ mile to the north. 

LOWER ACCESS:

Travel 22.1 miles south on the Divide Road from the Northern Forest Boundary to the Campbell Point Road, FSR #411, intersection.  Turn right (west) onto the Campbell Point Road and travel west and south 3.7 miles to the southern trailhead for the Long Canyon Trail #621. Travel north on the Long Canyon Trail from the southern trailhead for 1.9 miles to the U.C. Lower Trailhead.
