Tony's #603

Tony’s Trail #603 begins at Verzuh Ranch Road and ends at an intersection with the Upper Loop Trail #435. It is close to town and connects you with other trails filled with aspen that hug Crested Butte Mountain. This trail starts with a gradual climb following switchbacks through sage brush where a variety of wild flowers can be enjoyed. It ends after about 0.7 miles when it reaches the Upper Loop Trail. There are beautiful views of Whetstone Mountain, the golf course The Club at Crested Butte, Lake Grant, and the town of Crested Butte from this trail. It’s especially colorful in the fall when the aspen leaves change color.
