Taylor Divide Trail #440
The Taylor Divide Trail #440 begins at an intersection with the Mount Tilton Trail #582 and ends on Forest Service Road 761.1D, Taylor River Head Road. This trail gently climb at a steady grade, crossing a stream along the way. It travels through thick spruce-fir forests, with a few opening so you can enjoy the specular views. There are parts of this trail that are quite rocky, if you are biking, walking your bike at times may be necessary.

Directions
From Crested Butte: Travel south on Hwy 135 for approximately 1.8 miles to the intersection with County Road 738, Brush Creek Road. CR 738 becomes FSR 738 at the National Forest boundary. Turn left onto CR 738 and continue for approximately 8.3 miles to the intersection with FSR 738.2B, East Brush Road. Follow FSR 738.2B for about a mile to its end at the beginning of the Brush Creek Trail #400. Follow the Brush Creek Trail for 6.5 miles to its intersection with FSR 761.1D, Taylor River Head Road. Follow FSR 761.1D for about 1 miles to the beginning of Taylor Divide Trail.
From Crested Butte: Travel south on Hwy 135 for approximately 7.5 miles to County Road 740, Cement Creek Road. This road becomes Forest Service Road 740 at the National Forest boundary. Turn left on FSR 740 and continue for approximately 15 miles to the intersection with the Mount Tilton Trail #852. Follow the Mount Tilton Trail for about 1 mile to the Taylor Divide Trail.
