Tabeguache (Cushman) #255
The Tabeguache (tab-a-watch) Trail is a 142-mile-long trail connecting Montrose, CO to Grand Junction, CO along the Uncompahgre Plateau. The entire trail consists of a combinations of roads, 2 tracks, ATV, and single tract trails and can be ridden in either directions. It passes through 4 eco-zones, and the elevations range from 4,600 feet to 9,700 feet with spectacular views.
The Tabeguache (Cushman) Trail #255 begins on Forest Service Road #508.3D and ends at the National Forest Boundary where it crosses into BLM and continues on another section of the Tabeguache Trail. This trail provides a connection to the Transfer Road from the BLM portion of the Tabeguache Trail. It descends into the Cushman Creek drainage, crosses the creek and climbs the opposite side. After about 0.7 miles, it turn northeast and comes to an end in another 0.4 miles at the forest boundary.

Directions
From Montrose: Travel west on Highway 90 for approximately 23 miles to the intersection with Forest Service Road #402, North Divide Road. Follow FSR #402 for approximately 1.7 miles to FSR #508, Transfer Road. Turn north on FSR #508 and continue for approximately 8.7 miles to FSR #508.3E, Old Transfer Spur 3E Road. Turn east on FSR 508.3E and continue for approximately 0.3 miles to FSR #508.3D, Old Transfer Spur 3D Road. Turn south and continue for approximately 0.5 miles to where the trail begins on the east side of the road.
