Tabeguache (25 Mesa) #544.1A

The Tabeguache (tab-a-watch) Trail is a 142 miles long trail connecting Montrose, CO to Grand Junction, CO along the Uncompahgre Plateau.  The entire trail consists of a combinations of roads, 2 tracks, ATV, and single tract trails and can be ridden in either directions. It passes through 4 eco-zones, and the elevations range from 4,600 feet to 9,700 feet with spectacular views.

The Tabeguache (25 Mesa) Trail #544.1A begins at Forest Service Road #503, Delta-Nucla Road, and ends at Forest Service Road #533, Monitor Mesa Road. The trail begins heading east/northeast, gradually descending as it works its way around private property. After about 2.2 miles it intersects an old two track and turns southeast for about 0.3 miles. It then cuts south and drops into the Monitor Creek drainage, crossing the creek and climbing the eastern side. As it tops out on Monitor Mesa, it again turns south then east coming to an end at FSR #533 across from the beginning of the Old Roubideau Pack Trail #544.
