Storm Gulch #212
The Storm Gulch Trail #212 begins at an intersection with the Baldy Trail #216 approximately 0.2 miles past the trailhead and ends at an intersection with the Baldy Trail approximately 3.2 miles up the trail. This trail creates a shortcut, bypassing the Baldy Peak Trail intersection. After approximately 0.8 miles, the trail enters the Uncompahgre Wilderness where Wilderness Regulations apply. There are several trails in this area that make unlimited loop possibilities. This trail is popular during the big game hunting season.

Directions
From Ouray:
Travel north on Hwy 550 for approximately 1.7 miles to the intersection with County Road 14, Dexter Creek Road. Turn right onto CR 14 and continue for approximately 1 mile to the fork in the road, take the left fork onto CR 14A. Follow CR 14A, which becomes Forest Service Road #872 at the National Forest boundary, for approximately 1.5 miles to the intersection with FSR #872.1B. Turn left onto FSR 872.1B and continue for approximately 0.3 miles to its end where the trail begins. Follow the Baldy Trail #216 for approximately 0.2 miles it the intersection with the Storm Gulch Trail.
