Star #411
The Star Trail #411 begins at the Star Trail Trailhead on Rocky Brook Road, FSR #748 and ends at Italian Creek Road, FSR #759. For the first couple of miles the trail climbs northeast out of the Trail Creek valley. This trail climbs and descends many time along its length and is known for its excellent scenery. It passes Mysterious Lake, where fly fishing for Brook Trout is usually good, and crosses the South Italian Creek drainage and ends at Italian Creek Road.

Star Creek Trailhead:
From Gunnison, travel north on Highway 135 for approximately 10 miles to Almont and the intersection with Taylor River Road, County Road 742. Follow CR 742 for approximately 31.5 miles to the intersection with the Rocky Brook Road, FSR #748. Follow FSR #748 for approximately 4 miles to the Star Creek Trailhead.
