Silvershield #199

The Silvershield Trail #199 begins on Oak Street and ends at an intersection with the Twin Peaks Trail #208. The trail starts out at a steep grade and reaches an overlook at approximately 0.3 miles. This provides views of numerous old mines across the valley. It then ascends, traveling through forest and, at approximately 1.1 miles, reaches an intersection with the Oak Creek Trail #207. Stay on the left fork to follow the Silvershield Trail. After passing the Rock of Ages Mine, the trail follows along the cliffs and comes to the intersection with the Twin Peaks Trail.
