Roaring Judy #552

The Roaring Judy Trail #552 begins at the end of FSR #813.2A and ends at its intersection with the Cement Mountain Trail #553.  The trail can be difficult to navigate because of minimal traffic and thick undergrowth.  It ascends through aspen groves with variable rockiness and opens up as you traverse along a steep hillside.  Here you may find a few boulders to get around.  The final ascent is in pine forest where you'll want to be mindful of rocks and roots.  By combining the Roaring Judy Trail #552 and the Cement Mountain Trail #553, approximately a 9 mile loop can be accomplished.
