Printers Trailhead

From this trailhead, visitors can enter directly into the Petty Mountain roadless area on the Printers Creek Trail #718. The trail extends 4.5 miles to a junction with the Petty Mountain Trail #8, providing connections to Albert and Petty Pasture trailheads to the north and to the Graves Range Jeep Rd. No. 17806.  While Road #17806 is seasonally open to motor vehicles, Trail #718 and Trail#8 are open only to non-motorized travel (see the Motor Vehicle Use Map).

Directions

From I-90 exit 77 (just east of Alberton), head south across bridge to Petty Creek Road. In 10 miles just before the pavement ends, take a sharp left on Printers Creek Road #5553. In 3 miles, road is blocked at trailhead. No turnaround and limited parking at trailhead. Road #5553 has areas with deep ruts and is not recommended for passenger cars or trailers.
