Tally – Ashley Trail 800 temporarily closed for public safety

Beginning today, September 4, 2025, a closure order is in place on the Tally Lake Ranger District for 4.4 miles of Tally-Ashley Trail (National Forest System Trail 800) for public safety during logging activities associated with the Good Neighbor Authority Cyclone Bill Timber Sale. Logging equipment will be working in the area of the 800 trail, creating unsafe conditions for recreation.
The Tally-Ashley Trail will remain closed through September 1, 2026, or until the closure order is rescinded. To view the closure order, please visit the Flathead National Forest website at https://www.fs.usda.gov/r01/flathead/alerts
