Poker Jim Picnic Area has gravel access and is located 23 miles south of Ashland, MT.

Day Use Area only. Three picnic sites and 1 picnic shelter are available.
Poker Jim Butte Lookout is nearby along with Tongue River Breaks Hiking and Riding Area just north of Poker Jim.
Each year in July Shakespeare in the Park is hosted at Poker Jim Picnic Area
Tongue River Breaks Hiking and Riding area offer hunting and great opportunities for hiking.
A new trail, South Fork Poker Jim trail (#4800) provides a 13-mile loop through the Tongue River Breaks area.

Directions
About 25 miles south of Ashland. From Ashland, go 5 miles east on Hwy 12, go south about 19 miles on Hwy 484, go west on Cow Creek for about 11 miles. No overnight camping. Excellent vistas in all directions.
