Primitive road last .5 mi. to trailhead. Not recommended for low clearance vehicles. Hikers need to ford Lower Deer Cr. numerous times.

Corrals for horses, supplemental feed required.

Wood heat/cook stove.

No power or drinking water.

  • Location: 16 mi. E of Big Timber on I-90; 8 mi. S on Main Bridger Cr. Rd, 4 mi. S on W Bridger Cr. Rd, 4 mi. SE by foot trail/horseback

Directions

Exit Interstate 90 at Bridger Creek Exit No. 384; travel south on Bridger Creek Road for 8 miles to the junction of West Bridger Creek Road; turn right (west) and continue on West Bridger Creek Road 4 miles to the trailhead and sign, "West Bridger Tr. #129, Lower Deer Cr". Hike 2.5 miles west on Trail #129, and 1.5 mile south on Trail #5.
