Join us June 13 for the annual Kawishiwi Ranger District Interagency Open House & June 15, for a "Tools for Living with Fire" workshop in Ely, MN

The Superior National Forest would like to invite all interested individuals and partners to attend an upcoming Kawishiwi Ranger District Interagency Open House and a Living with Fire Workshop.

The Kawishiwi Ranger District’s Interagency Open House will be held at the Minnesota North College-Vermilion Campus in Ely, MN on June 13, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The Campus is located at 1900 E. Camp St, Ely, MN.

Invited partners and agencies include Tower area MN Department of Natural Resources, MN North Vermilion Campus Natural Resource staff, North St. Louis and Lake County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, St. Louis and Lake Counties, Firewise programs, and more.

"We look forward to connecting to folks in the community. This open house event is always a fun time and a good chance to show people what work we are doing. This open house brings people together that are interested in the natural resources around them"–Aaron Kania, Kawishiwi District Ranger.

In addition to the Interagency Open House, a landowner, land management empowerment event called "Tools for Living with Fire" is being held also at the MN North-Vermilion campus on June 15.
