Barton Flats Visitor Center
Welcome!
The Barton Flats area hugs the northern edge of Sand to Snow National Monument and the San Gorgonio Wilderness.
Here, the forest has four campgrounds and is also home to over 20 organizational camps that attract tens of thousands of campers each year.
Current Services
Open during the summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Monday through Friday.
The center of activities for the campgrounds is the Barton Flats Visitor Center, which serves up to 10,000 visitors every summer. Here, informal programs are presented with display animals from the San Bernardino County Museum. San Gorgonio Wilderness Association (SGWA) volunteer members develop and present these programs, with added nature walks during the busy summer weekends.
Be sure to come by and visit the annual Forest Festival held in mid-August!
