The forest Supervisor's Office is the headquarters for forest leadership, program managers and resources that are used to manage the San Bernardino National Forest.

The forest is divided into three areas designated as Ranger Districts. Each district has its own management staff led by a district ranger, who is located at a Ranger District office. The forest also has several visitor centers operated by forest staff and partner organizations.

Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 930, firearms are not allowed in federal facilities. In addition, items not allowed include any that are prohibited by any applicable federal, state, local, or tribal law and/or ordinance, such as dangerous weapons, explosives, or other destructive devices, including their individual parts or components, that are designed, redesigned, used, intended for use, or readily converted to cause injury, death, or property damage. This list applies to all facility occupants, contractors, and visitors.
