Southwestern "Windows on the Past"

Interpreted Sites

[Brochure]: Village Above The Muddy River

Over 200 heritage sites in Region 3 are interpreted in some way for the public. Examples include: Poshuouinge (Santa Fe NF); Zuni Mountain Historic Auto Tour (Cibola NF); The Catwalk (Gila NF); Palatki (Coconino NF); Shoofly Village (Tonto NF); Lynx Creek Ruin (Prescott NF); Camp Rucker (Coronado NF); Keyhole Sink (Kaibab NF) and Fresnal Shelter (Lincoln NF).

With additional information at each of these locations, the feel of the land around you, and your imagination, you may well be able to transport yourself to a different moment in time.
