The Landscape Scale Restoration Program promotes collaborative, science-based restoration of important forest landscapes and furthers priorities identified in State Forest Action Plans or equivalent restoration strategies. High impact projects that lead to measurable outcomes on the landscape and leverage public and private resources are selected for funding through a competitive grant process.

Key Outcomes:

  • Reduced wildfire risk.
  • Improved fish and wildlife habitats, including for threatened and endangered species.
  • Maintained or improved water quality and watershed function.
  • Mitigated invasive species, insect infestation, and disease.
  • Improved important forest ecosystems.
  • Improved measures of ecological and economic benefits, including air quality and soil quality and productivity.
