Get Involved! How to Participate in Forest Plan Revision

Forest Supervisor Cheryl Probert thanks everyone for their willingness and time commitment to participate in this process. We appreciate all the information that has been provided and encourage everyone to stay involved or get involved in the collaborative process as we continue towards development of a revised Forest Plan!

There are a number of ways you can participate, ranging from attending community meetings and collaborative sessions, to participating through e-collaboration using online web tools.

Current Collaborative Opportunities

In-Person

There are no scheduled in-person engagements for Forest Plan Revision as this time.  Additional opportunities may be available after the release of the FEIS and Draft ROD.

E-Collaboration

Comment via Email

If you wish to participate in the Forest Plan Revision collaborative as an e-participant, you can email the Forest Plan Revision team. To provide input on collaborative session topics, please include the words COLLABORATIVE INFORMATION and the TOPIC NAME in the subject line of your email. The e-mail address for comments is fpr_npclw@fs.fed.us.

Please send input as .PDF, .rtf, or .doc(x) files. E-collaborative information on a specific topic should be submitted no later than the Friday prior to the working session scheduled to address the topic.

E-collaboration comments, input and feedback will be posted on the Collaborative Session page links for topic discussion. See the list of upcoming sessions above or click here to see past sessions.

Storymaps - Collaborative, Interactive Websites

Storymaps are interactive websites created by the Forest Plan Revision team to educate the public and collect public feedback on different aspects of the Forest Plan Revision process. Please see the links below for Storymaps currently available.

Google Groups

Some community-based groups have formed “Google Groups” to blog with each other on revision topics. The Forest Service reads the discussion posts for information and input, however these are citizen discussion sites. You find these groups by searching for "FPR NPCLW" on the Google Groups website.
