10 Essentials
Outdoorsman and long-time Forest Service volunteer Pat Ellis lists the 10 essential items you need to take with you when you go hiking on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This list was originally compiled by the Seattle-based Mountaineers in the 1930s. These items will enable you to spend the night out if you have to or can save your life in an accident or emergency.
